Infrastructure and facilities

The Solent Enterprise Zone at Daedalus has access to the M27 motorway via junctions 11 and 9, Portsmouth and Southampton. Superfast broadband will be available throughout the site.

The Enterprise Zone has a new Innovation Centre providing workshop and office space to start-up businesses.  The Centre, which opened in April 2015 is currently full but contact the operators, Oxford Innovation, to make an inquiry.

Solent EZ also has a major engineering training facility at CEMAST training centre for engineering and manufacturing students.  It provides training services for a number of major local employers in marine, aerospace/aviation, vehicle, composites and other engineering disciplines.

Access by road

The new business park at Daedalus East which has an emphasis on engineering and aviation/aerospace has its own road access and investment in a new layout of service roads and services is now complete.  Part of the site is reserved for airside activities with access to taxiways. A new development area to be created from 2017 at Daedalus West have direct secure access from Gosport Road.

Road improvements in the area
